PRIMIS+ is a free service to primary care organisations to help them improve patient care through the effective use of their clinical computer systems. PRIMIS+ is delivered as part of the NHS Connecting for Health's Education, Training and Development Programme. PRIMIS+ works via information facilitators funded by local Primary Care Organisations (PCOs) to provide GP practices with:
- Training in information management skills and recording for data quality;
- Analysis of data quality, plus a comparative analysis service focused on key clinical topics;
- Feedback and interpretation of the results of data quality and comparative analyses;
- Support in developing action plans to improve data quality;
- Support in achieving accredited standards for good quality data

Prodigy A national prescribing support system available to GPs. Developed by a multi-disciplinary team including doctors, pharmacists and researchers at Newcastle University in partnership with clinical systems suppliers and the NHS Executive. It gives the latest advice but allows total choice in the final decision. Information leaflets are available and can be printed out and given to patients if thought appropriate. The system will be updated by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence(NICE), who will bear most of the cost of maintaining it.

The font Tiresias PCfont has been created to maximise legibility. It has been carefully designed to help differentiate one letter from another.
